Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) is
the national organization of pharmaceutical professionals
including scientists, legislators and pharmacists serving in
the pharmacies, hospitals/clinics and industry. CPA was
founded in 1907, and now it has nearly 3000 senior
individual members and 35 group members. With the mission to
represent and serve pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences
development in China, CPA connects, represents and serves
more than 105,000 pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists
around the country.
The highest authority of CPA is the National
Congress which is held every 5 years. CPA is governed by a
Council of 137 members elected by the National Congress, and
more routeinly, by a Board of 37 members elected by the
Council. The Council meets once a year and the Board meets
at least twice a year.
